Most maternal and infant deaths are preventable – yet unacceptable high rates of mortality still persist in Somalia. We work to expand women’s, and children’s access to quality health services. The Foundation works along the continuum of care from the community to the health facility to improve pregnancy, childbirth, newborn and child health services.
We integrate maternal and child health services with immunization, nutrition, sanitation, disease prevention, care and treatment. Our focus is on strengthening health institutions (public and private) by promoting the incorporation of community input and maximizing resources so that they can deliver quality maternal, newborn and child health services.
